My friends and I were in high school and had driven from our hometown of Kansas City to Lawrence, Kansas to see this show. It was a small ballroom and we were lucky enough to get there early and get up next to the stage. The stage was really low and they kept the crowd off it by placing banquet tables on their sides with the tops facing the crowd. The boys rocked it! My hip bones were bruised for a month from being pushed against that banquet table. Anthony was flying all around that little stage, moving like no one I'd ever seen. Flea played part of the show in a pair of tighty whiteys. His ball sack was swinging to and fro and was just glorious. A memorable show for sure. Afterwards the guys from Fishbone invited us back to their place but we declined as we were in high school and we were good girls and we had to drive an hour to get home. I wonder what we would have witnessed had we gone to that party with them...
